In 2013, YTKO were called on by Connecting Cambridgeshire to deliver a series of business support services across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Connecting Cambridgeshire is led by Cambridgeshire County Council working with Peterborough City Council, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, Government bodies, local councils, and external organisations, including telecoms suppliers and mobile operators.
Connecting Cambridgeshire drives economic growth by ensuring local businesses are making the most of the latest digital technologies, and this project was funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The funding was designed to provide business support activities, encourage innovation and deliver eligible SMEs with detailed advice on how they could realise the benefits of digital technologies. The initiative also included grants for these local businesses to ensure they were able to fully take advantages of new opportunities they identified as part of this support.
Drawing on our expertise and credentials in unlocking business growth potential, we delivered a mix of workshops and one-to-one advice. Our role was to ensure that eligible businesses had the support they needed in order to grow and expand their operations, and were poised to take advantage of latest digital technologies.
We supported over 560 clients in being approved for a grant and provided key business support to over 123 local businesses.
