Organised by National Black Women’s Network founder Sonia Brown and hosted by Thomson Reuters at Canary Wharf in London, the summit examined key issues that continue to contribute to inequality for women in the workplace and in business, with a focus on developing solutions for positive change.
Joining Bev on the expert panel were Deb Leary, CEO, Forensic Pathways Ltd and National President of the British Association of Women Entrepreneurs; Caroline Marsh, Secret Millionaire and Britain’s leading female property investor; wearethecity.com founder Vanessa Vallely and Women in Technology MD, Maggie Berry. A keynote address from Baroness Verma of Leicestershire opened proceedings.
Speaking after the Summit, Bev said that the Inspirational Women’s Super-Summit was a great event, well attended by intelligent, dynamic women in business and working in corporate life, who took some very practical tips, inspiration and motivation away with them.
“I saw some real determination, not only to take individual actions, but also to work collaboratively with us and others, to make sure that women can achieve their full leadership and business potential.
“If we don’t want to be talking about the same issues in yet another generation, it really is time for change!”
