Robert initially trained as a Psychiatric nurse, moving into merchandising for a personal care products company. He became a medical representative for Pharmaceutical and medical product companies, moving into project and product management for Johnson & Johnson.

In 1982 he became the BDM for Vickers Medical, moving to Coloplast in 1984, where he progressed from UK Marketing Manager, European Marketing Manager and Corporate BDM. Later Robert become Marketing Director for Hollister Europe, a medical devices manufacturer.

Since 2000, having accrued substantial business expertise in corporate settings, he has run his own consultancy specialising in the healthcare and medical device sectors. Robert has also co-founded and developed a medical device development company, and is chairman of a medical techology start-up. He was recently appointed a non-executive Director of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.

As senior associate, he brings to YTKO a wealth of strategic marketing, business development and healthcare experience which fits well with the healthcare and medical devices sector expertise which YTKO have developed.
