Helen Trudgeon heads up the Partner to Succeed team in Cornwall, helping businesses to realise higher growth through collaboration and joint ventures.
Helen’s career began at Coopers and Lybrand working in business research for the accountancy firm’s tax and mergers & acquisitions teams. She continued to develop her research career in the City, moving onto to Charterhouse Bank again specialising in M&A and financial research. Following a stint at Dialog Corp (now part of the Thomson Reuters group) where she gained an in depth understanding of online research systems and their application across multiple sectors, Helen returned to the field of investment banking when she established the Corporate Finance research function for the Scandinavian subsidiary of ABN AMRO, specialising in Initial Public Offerings at the height of the Dot Com Revolution.
Early in 2001 Helen moved with her family to Cornwall where she established her own successful business and political support consultancy, alongside running a 100 acre prize winning pedigree beef farm.
In 2006 she joined Cornwall Pure Business, the highly successful inward investment arm of Cornwall Enterprise (now the Cornwall Development Company). This gave her considerable knowledge of business support in the county, assisting companies wishing to relocate to Cornwall and promoting the county as a place to do business.
Helen’s background in research, finance, politics and finally public sector business support, has given her a strong base from which she can work with clients at all levels and across all sectors. As a result, the £1.5m Partner to Succeed project has already worked on successful collaborations between environmental, engineering, healthcare, IT, manufacturing and creative companies, supporting the future prosperity of Cornwall.
