Eileen has been involved in the enterprise and business development sector for 15 years. She specialises in the design, delivery and management of outreach and engagement activities, innovative training and development workshops, programmes and projects that combine Enterprise Skills with Personal Development specially designed for pre-start and start-up clients of both genders from disadvantaged backgrounds and deprived areas.
As the former CEO of incredit ltd (2005 – 08), and a founding member of the organisation from 2002, Eileen led incredit’s transition from locally based, publicly funded project to an independent income-generating social enterprise with a national profile.
Eileen joined YTKO in 2008 to head up the Enterprise Inclusion team, and has been instrumental in the set up of the YTKO Outset programmes in Cornwall and Plymouth, and also the Peterborough Women’s Enterprise Centre
Previous roles have included the design, management and delivery of training contracts for Jobcentre Plus, the Learning and Skills Council and as the Theme Lead researcher for the DTI Phoenix Development Fund evaluation in 2006 producing one strand of the government’s overall evaluation of the four-year initiative.
Prior to that, Eileen lived and worked in Australia for seven years as a self-employed consultant trainer, developing and delivering programmes for field sales teams. Eileen originally trained as a teacher and, prior to her time in Australia, worked in the field of sports and leisure management.
Eileen has been commissioned to design and deliver bespoke projects and workshops for: BIS, Prowess Ltd, Small Business Service Phoenix Development Fund, Heriott Watt University Edinburgh, University of Bedfordshire, North Hertfordshire College, HMP Askham Grange, Business Link, NOMS, WeConnect, West Mercia Probation Service and UFI Learndirect.
